How do I seriously make some cash TODAY?
Main Post:
I work full time, I do Uber eats part time, it’s just not enough money right now and I need like $200 for the rest of my bills for this week... what can I even do? I’m a diabetic and can’t donate plasma. I’m not going to get a loan and cause myself to be in more financial trouble down the line.
Top Comment: The only quick way to get money without a loan is to sell something.
You're all about to lose a lot of money.
Main Post:
I'm going to tell you exactly what's going to happen from here on out because we've seen this 3 times in the past 20 years and it will repeat itself.
- 2001: People get scared, blame the dot com bubble, sell everything, and then it skyrockets.
- 2008: People get scared, blame the housing market, sell everything, and then it skyrockets.
- 2020: People get scared, blame the covid lockdowns, sell everything, and then it skyrockets.
Now--> 2022: People get scared, blame inflation and the tech bubble, sell everything, and then it skyrockets.
The issue is NEVER the bubble--it's how you react to the bubble that gets you.
And I guarantee you that if we go lower most of you are going to sell, and that's precisely when big funds are going to come in and start buying. Do not let these rich goons get your stocks on sale. You guys worked hard to get money in order to invest in the market. Do not let your time get converted into the wealth of some goon in a suit drinking wine from the balcony of a NYC office building.

Nodle cash not increasing.
Main Post:
I've been using that app for about a week and since my 1st day I haven't seen an increase in my nodle cash. I see that I am discovering new devices, but doesn't seem to add to what I've earned. I'm still sending packets.
What gives?
Top Comment:
Hey, thank you for reaching out to us. Due to works on the backend, it might occur that your balance is not updating in the app.
You can always import your wallet address here: https://nodleprotocol.io/#/explorer to check your actual balance on the Nodlechain.

What are the best cash flow generating assets for a monthly wage worker like me ?
Main Post:
Hi Everyone,
I am 25 years old , just completed my degree and started my first full time job in Canada in May of 2021. Paid all the student/other debt and Currently earning about 80K an year (I am a software developer). I live in Vancouver so everything is pretty expensive. Lately, I have been thinking of investing, learning to create positive cash flows and started out by reading Rich Dad Poor Dad.
So far, I like the book (currently on page 183) but I find it a bit generic. The book does provide good insight on how one should focus on creating assets, surround oneself with smart people and invest in real estate, stocks. But , for a common man like me who focused mostly on education, its hard to think through how to actually surround myself with good accountants (How do I pay their fee) , how do I invest in real estate with just about 25K in my account lol. Stocks are interesting but I keep hearing that it has been bullish market for such a long period and its bound to fall. And then there's rise of DEFI , Crypto Tokens which I am also interested in because I understand software and computer stuff lol.
I do not just want to do job . I am a workaholic and do not enjoy wasting time on TV, Mobile etc (I hardly watch movies and stuff). I rather like to work, meet new people and earn as part of it. So I am in a phase where I want to do more for sure but don't know where to start. Please suggest me books to read if there are any recommendations on investing of various types. Particularly, I am most interested in real estate investing but I just don't have the money yet.
Top Comment: Rich Dad Poor Dad is generally considered to be a quite bad personal finance book. Besides being extremely vague, as you already noticed, some of the advice is just wrong. You can google Kiyosaki Criticisms if you want to see detailed critiques of what he teachers. There is good educational information in the right hand side of this subreddit, including a link to a reading list. The Millionaire Teacher is widely recommended in this subreddit. I would suggest that you read that next.
Anybody 100 percent cash?? For how long now?
Main Post:
I have to imagine there's a number of brave souls out there that are currently 100 percent cash. Or say 90 or 80 percent cash. It's a risky, bold move. You're basically saying that the market in general is way overvalued, and you're waiting for the eventual meltdown before entering. Totally understandable. In fact, I'm 50 percent cash myself right now. So, one foot in the swimming pool, one foot out.
For those that have done this, how long have you been 100 percent cash? How long are you willing to hold out to get the entry you're looking for? Do you see a quick recovery after the meltdown, or a long, drawn out bear market?

How do you generate cash flow, other than work and being a landlord?
Main Post:
Aside from being a landlord and daily job, how are you generating additional cash flow? Just curious about this because I see a lot of talk of buy-to-rent and wanted to get some fresh alternative views on the matter.

Millionaires of Reddit, how did you make your money?
Main Post:
Working hard and saving every dollar? Did you start your own company? What's your story?
Edit: Guys this is so awesome. Keep the posts coming, I'm enjoying every one of y'alls stories and advice!
Top Comment: If you read the Millionaire Next Door, you'll pretty much discover how: be frugal, save, don't live above your means. In fact, you should live well below your means. At age 38, I'm "barely" a millionaire, meaning I have a net worth of a little over $1M USD (around 1.25 at last count. My house is around 200k of that.) I have zero debt, mortgage and loans all paid off. I never had my own company, but I did do a lot of side work in the past, which supplemented my income. I live on less than half of my income basically. My dad also follows the Millionaire Next Door model. He lives wayyy below his means and has is own successful business, which he grew from nothing. He is actually a real multimillionaire but you'd never know.

I am a commercial underwriter with several years of experience. I'm looking to buy our first home and want to put together a bigger down payment. Unfortunately a raise/promotion isn't likely in the near future and so I need to get creative.

When I was in my early 20s, I was living in San Diego. At the end of every semester, I would dumpster-dive at the local dorms on move-out day. I would load my truck up with stuff from UCSD, SDSU, and USD and then throw a massive garage sale. I made a killing every single time.
